Strawberry Cupcakes with Champagne Cream for Wedding Aniversary

Image

We had our 11th years of marriage celebration on 17th of November. Well, we didn’t do anything special really, but remembered our Day and eat cakes of course 🙂

I made these festive strawberry cupcakes with lots of fresh strawberries and frosted with champagne cream. Yummmmmm….. The kids obviously had the cupcakes without the cream.

I tried out two more decoration styles on the same cupcake. Love my new, colourful cupcake wrappers and I find it very inspiring so that’s why 🙂

Apple Cupcakes with apple shaped cookies

Image

Apples again! Because it’s autumn and we have lots of apples in the garden, actually half of the garden is full with apples which are falling down the apple tree.

My daughter and I made the apple cookies in advance and kept them in an airtight plastic box. Few days later when I had the cupcakes ready, I got out the cookies and iced them with writing icing. You can see that the cookies are not exactly the same  -that’s because I don’t have an apple shaped cookie cutter, so I used a tooth pick and a knife to draw and cut out the apples.

Apple and Spices Cupcakes with Whipped Cream

Image

For this cupcake I used fresh apples and a mixture of spices that go really well together. The smell of your kitchen while baking these is heartwarming!

I found these marzipan fruits in the store and I instantly pictured them on top of whipped cream.

The cupcake wrappers are made by me from card-stock paper. I saw many DIY cupcake wrappers on the internet and that gave me the idea. I bought a few patterns and draw and cut them out and I must say I’m very happy with them.

Halloween Wicked Witches Cake and Cupcakes

Image

After I made my witches from sugarpaste I realized they are too big to fit on a cupcake…Well, doesn’t matter really, I baked a chocolate cake and put them on top. Me and the kids went to a friend’s house for a Halloween party and we took the cake to share with our friends.

I filled the cake with orange flavor chocolate cream, it was light and delicious. Originally I meant to cover this cake with yellow marzipan but taking it out from the box I was very disappointed to see that it wasn’t yellow at all! So I covered the cake with it anyway but I also mixed some white sugarpaste with little black sugarpaste to make this grey color.

For the cupcakes I used Halloween themed stickers. My daughter helped me put them on a stick and that’s how we made these easy cupcake toppers.
